GENERAL
What is a chocolate fountain?
It's a tiered stainless
steel fountain with a heating element in its basin.
A motor-driven auger carries warm chocolate up to
the top tier, and the chocolate then flows down
continuously like a chocolate waterfall. Guests
have a wonderful time dipping items such as fresh
and dried fruits, cookies, marshmallows, candies,
etc., in the fountain. The warm chocolate is also
wonderful for ladling over foods like sundaes, wedding
cake, pies, etc.

Divalicious Chocolate Fountains available?
Fountain rentals are available
throughout the five boroughs of New York City. We
are happy to provide chocolate fountains in Long
Island, upstate New York, New Jersey and Connecticut
(additional travel expenses apply).

How many
people does the chocolate fountain serve?
We offer fountains in three sizes: small serves
up to 100 people; medium
up to 300 people; large
up to 600 people. If you
want to offer your guests more variety, we suggest
renting fountains with two different types of chocolate.

What is
included in my Divalicious Chocolate Fountain rental?
Your chocolate fountain rental includes:
- Three hours of
dipping time**
- Choice of dark,
milk or white gourmet chocolate
- On-site, uniformed
fountain attendant: delivery***,
set up, maintenance
and removal
- Wooden skewers and
cocktail napkins
**Your attendant
will be present an hour before your event to set
up the fountain, and an hour afterwards to break
down, remove and clean the fountain. During the
dipping time your attendant assists guests with
the fountain and answers fountain related questions.
He/she keeps the fountain replenished and discourages
the guests from double dipping and skinny dipping.
***Due to the increase in gas prices, free delivery
is included in Manhattan below 96th St; travel charges
may apply for the outer boroughs and do apply for
Long Island, upstate New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
Tolls and a gratuity for the fountain attendant
are not included.

Is the chocolate fountain kosher?
We use kosher dairy chocolate in our fountains.

What if we want to keep the fountain for a longer period of time?
We charge $35.00 per half hour for additional dipping time and/or having the
fountain pre-set at your event if that time goes
beyond the three hours of time included with the rental.

What if
we want more chocolate?
Extra chocolate is rarely
needed, but is available and the cost depends on the quantity you desire.

What kind
of chocolate do you use?
We only use premium gourmet
couverture chocolate: Callebaut from Belgium and
Guittard from the United States. Couverture (French
for "covering") chocolate has about 35
percent more cocoa butter than regular chocolate
and is used as a coating when making chocolates
and truffles. It is ideal for chocolate fountain dipping.

Can you supply a different chocolate if we have a favorite like Valrhona, Nestle's, El Rey, etc.?
Yes, we can. We carry a range of couverture chocolates including Valrhona, El Rey, Santander, Paris Gourmet, and more at our Nolita store and we can get other brands as well. There would be an additonal charge for procuring any alternative chocolate.

Do you have insurance and food handling certification?
Yes, we carry comprehensive general liability insurance and
we have a certificate in food handling from the New York City Department of Health.

DIPPABLES
What items can be dipped in the fountain?
Pretty much anything your
heart desires except particularly crumbly foods
like certain cakes, brownies, delicate cookies,
etc. Crumbs can interfere with the smooth flow of
the chocolate. But, we provide a ladle so your guests
can scoop the chocolate fondue on top of any "undippable" dish they wish. See our list of Divalicious

Who provides
the dipping items?
Divalicious can provide
dipping items for your event at an additional cost
per person. Please refer to our dipping
items page for our selection. Often the caterer,
the venue or banquet facility providing the majority
of food for your event prefers to supply the dipping
items. There are issues related to health, storage
and logistics that can make this the ideal situation.
You may also want to provide the dipping items yourself.
We can accomodate whatever situation you require.
We are happy to provide a list of "dippable"
suggestions to whomever is providing your food,
and we are happy to discuss any fountain-related.

PRICING
How much does it cost to rent a Divalicious Chocolate Fountain? Divalicious Chocolate Fountain rentals include premium chocolate, three hours of dipping time, a fountain attendant, delivery*, set up, maintenance and removal, skewers and napkins.
- Small Fountain $450.00 feeds up to 100 people
- Medium Fountain $570.00 feeds up to 300 people
- Large Fountain $690.00 feeds up to 600 people
* Travel charges may apply outside of the five boroughs. Tolls are not included.

How long can I have the Divalicious Chocolate Fountain at my event? Your fountain rental includes three hours of dipping time. You can extend that time at $35.00 per half hour.

Most clients tip them around $40.00 - $50.00.

BOOKING
How do I book the Divalicious Chocolate Fountain for my event?
You can reserve your Divalicious Chocolate Fountain by: filling out our reservation form (pdf or word document) and emailing or faxing the form to us;calling us at 718.522.7266 and we can send you the form by mail. We will get back to you to arrange your rental. We require a signed contract and a $200.00 non-refundable deposit to reserve a fountain for your event. Reservations are limited and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
Once your reservation is confirmedand two contracts. Sign both contracts, keep one for your records and return the other to us by mail (Divalicious, 359 Warren St., Brooklyn, New York, 11201) or by fax: 718.855.2411. The balance of your payment is due at least 14 days prior to the date of your event.

SET UP AND LOGISTICS
What sizes are the chocolate fountains? The fountains come in the following sizes:
- Small: Height: 27" Diameter: 10.5"
- Medium: Height: 34" Diameter: 18.5"
- Large: Height: 44" Diameter: 18.5"
What are the table and electrical requirements for the Divalicious Chocolate Fountain? We require a table that is sturdy and capable of handling 150 lbs. in weight. The table MUST be level so the fountain won't spill over when it's full. The table will require two tablecloths that match the décor of your event. A garbage can needs to be placed next to the table. The Divalicious Chocolate Fountain requires a 120-volt grounded electrical outlet that adheres to contemporary safety standards and supplies at least 15 amps, within 10 feet of the set-up location.

Can the Divalicious Chocolate Fountain be used outdoors? Unfortunately, chocolate fountains are too attractive to insects and the flow of the chocolate is too sensitive to wind and temperature shifts to be used outdoors.
